The summit is jointly initiated by the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology, Wenzhou Municipal People's Government, Wenzhou University, Wiley Publishing Group, Organization Department of Wenzhou Municipal Committee, People's Government of Ouhai District in Wenzhou, and Scientific Data Integration Platform. The conference aims to respond to the national strategy of "striving for carbon dioxide emissions to peak before 2030 and striving to achieve carbon neutrality before 2060." The theme of the conference is "Integrating Industry, Academia, and Research to Empower the Carbon Neutrality Process." It brings together renowned experts, scholars, and research institutions from both domestic and international fields related to carbon neutrality to Wenzhou for academic discussions and sharing on the research hotspots and challenges in the field of carbon neutrality. The conference aims to promote interdisciplinary cooperation and innovation, gather scientific and technological forces, and advance the process of carbon neutrality.
