The 48th Solid State Ion Symposium is organized by the Japan Solid State Ion Society and co-sponsored by the Japan Society for Applied Physics, the Polymer Society, the Electrochemical Society, the Japan Society for Metals, the Japan Iron and Steel Society, the Physical Society of Japan, and the Japan Ceramic Society.
Topics of discussion include technologies for the creation and utilization of new ion-conducting solids, clarification of ion transfer mechanisms within solids, and fundamentals of materials for batteries and fuel cells. The conference is the first corporate exhibition in two years, and 19 companies are expected to exhibit.
